Our Story
K & K Flowers was established in 2004 by Kristin and Kim in the small town of Seward, Pennsylvania. What began as a dream between Mother and Daughter quickly grew into something much more. A second location was added in Ligonier a few years later, but the next chapter of our story would bring us home in a way we never imagined.
On November 11, 2012, the former St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bolivar was offered at auction by the Diocese of Greensburg. That date holds special meaning for our family for many reasons, and what happened that day changed our future forever. Stop by the shop sometime and we'll gladly share the full story.
In early 2013, we opened the doors of our new home in this beautiful church, originally built in the late 1950s. The building carries deep family roots for us. Our relatives, along with many dedicated members of the community, helped build St. Mary's from the ground up with little more than determination, faith, and hard work. To be able to preserve and continue the life of this special place is an honor we cherish every day.

This is where K & K Flowers will remain for generations to come. The Bolivar community has embraced and supported us from the beginning, and we are grateful every day for the friendships and relationships we've built here.
Over the years, we've expanded beyond flowers and gifts by adding a coffee shop inside the church. Today, visitors can enjoy a fresh cup of coffee, tea, latte, mocha, or cappuccino while browsing the shop, working remotely, or simply taking in the beauty of the historic building. Bring your laptop, connect to the internet, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere surrounded by fresh flowers, unique gifts, and the charm of our community.
Located just a short drive from Blairsville, Indiana, and Johnstown, Bolivar sits at the foothills of the Laurel Highlands in the Appalachian Mountains. The scenic drive alone is worth the trip, but once you arrive, you'll discover something even more special—a place where history, flowers, coffee, and community come together to create an experience unlike any other.

Our story of being part of the community doesn't end there. Nine years ago, we added a recovery support service center to the bottom floor, in what was once the social hall of the church. Faces and Voices of Recovery Western PA, a PA non-profit was founded to help those in the local communities that are struggling with any type of addiction or are in need of mental health services. We now have a community food bank, an emergency food bank and we hold weekly meetings for support for families and individuals alike who suffer from a substance use disorder in themselves or their families.
